The Monitoring Center has started the implementation of the project “Better Opportunities for Youth Employment” in cooperation with the Youth Informative Agency from Bosnia and Herzegovina and Employment Agency and NGO Fortress from Montenegro.
The overall objective of the project is to contribute to the improvement of the socio-economic situation in the cross border region of Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina. CEMI and YIA will contribute to the reduction of number of unemployed young people by promoting active job searching approach and self-employment and building up the capacity of young people by preparing them for the labor market. Namely, by creating a network between main actors at the labor market and students, this project will improve their opportunities for employment and will help them to develop working skills in order to improve their positions at the labor market. Also, this project will present to students opportunities for self-employment with special advocacy of the concept of youth entrepreneurship and its promotion through aimed campaigns.
Target groups of the project are high school students (3rd grade), teachers, local authorities and stakeholders from 6 targeted municipalities, local and national media, local enterprises, local communities of targeted municipalities and general society.
The project is funded by the European Union through EU Delegation to Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
