Department in charge for developing of public policies was formed from Policy Research Unit, which was the core formed within the project for strengthening of capacities for evidence based advocacy. Advocacy activities have, so far, been implemented by the Legal Department, and after this Department has been established it became a bearer of these activities. Key activities of this department are reflected in the monitoring of implementation of government public policies in certain sectors, while on the other hand the activities are refleceted in implementation of comparative policy research of in order to prepare public policy papers and represent acceptance of proposed solutions from national and local authorities in Montenegro.

Department for developing of public policies consists of Ana Selic MA, Zlatko Vujovic MA, President of the Governing Board of CEMI, Branka Todorovic, member of the Board of Directors, Nikoleta Tomovic MA, assistant at the UDG and Mensur Bajramspahic. The special expertise of this department is related to the fight against corruption, electoral and party systems, rights of minority communities as well as reduction of poverty and social exclusion.
