CEMI wants to inform all interested citizens, partners, media, international organizations, political parties that is not going to monitor the upcoming local elections in the part of municipalities of Montenegro.
CEMI has, in 2006 year, given up to monitor local elections due to lack of willingness of donors to support these activities. We have continued with the monitoring of national (parliamentary and presidential) elections. As for the previous local elections for this there was no interest from foreign donors, so that, even though we believe that their political importance demands, we are not going to monitor the electoral process in the upcoming local elections.
CEMI will continue to monitor the national elections and to participate in international missions of ENEMO - a network of organizations that monitor elections, whose founder and a full member is CEMI.
