The Monitoring Center CEMI in partnership with the International Aid Network - IAN from Belgrade, organised the third training for the members of the Coalition for Social Change. The coalition was formed under the project "Strengthening capacities in advocacy and preparation of policies of the Coalition of non-governmental organizations in fight against poverty and social exclusion", and is made of nine organizations from Montenegro, Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. The project was financially supported by the European Union through the European Commission Delegation in Podgorica.
In order to strengthen the capacity of the Coalition, until now we successfully held two training sessions for representatives of the Coalition on the topic of writing and preparation of EU project proposals and advocacy based on facts. The latest three-day training was held on Zlatibor and is aimed at strengthening the capacity of representatives of the Coalition for Social Change in the process of creating effective policy papers.
Participants of the seminar have successfully mastered the subject matter of writing and preparation of effective proposals of policy papers and started to work on concrete practical policy proposals to combat poverty and social exclusion. Specifically, Coalition will prepare the four policy papers and four briefs proposals in the areas of health, education, unemployment and social welfare.
