Training on "Strategic approach to advocacy and lobbying as one of the methods of action in dealing and communicating with the public" has been held

The monitoring center CEMI, in partnership with International Aid Network - IAN Belgrade, held the fourth training course for members of the Coalition for the fight against poverty and social exclusion. The coalition was formed under the project "Strengthening capacities in advocacy and preparation of policies of the Coalition of non-governmental organizations in fight against poverty and social exclusion", and is made of nine organizations from Montenegro, Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. The project was financially supported by the European Union through the European Commission Delegation in Podgorica.
In order to strengthen the capacity of the Coalition, we already held four training sessions for representatives of the Coalition on the topic of writing and preparing EU project proposals, representations based on the facts, writing of efective policy papers. The last training was held on Jahorina in a period of 01st to 04th June 2010. year on "Strategic approach to advocacy and lobbying as one of the methods of action in dealing and communicating with the public."
This successfully completed training, aimed to introduce participants in the process of strategic planning and lobbying, as well as to introduce the techniques of effective advocacy. During the training participants were able to get through a few exercises of becoming more familiar with development of necessary capacities for lobbying and advocacy, as well as media partners and identifying different types of public and communication with the public.
