The Monitoring Center, CEMI, has continued with the implementation of activities dealing with the financing of political parties. As was the case until now, the project activities are supported by Foundation Open Society Institute, this time through funding the second phase of the project “Improvement of the electoral campaign finance system in Montenegro – II phase.”
The main goal of this project is to increase application efficiency of legal regulations and measures for prevention of political corruption in the system of financing of political parties and election campaigns. This goal will be achieved through implementation of activities aimed at:
1. Improving the legal framework and law enforcement in the areas of financing of political parties and election campaigns;
2. Improving efficiency in fight against the misuse of state resources;
3. Increase of professionalism and ethics in the work of members of the State and municipal election commissions;
4. Greater efficiency of application of the Law on financing of political parties.
The project is supported by the Foundation Open Society Institute, representative office in Montenegro.
